Students Protest in Anantnag, Shopian against Rohingya Muslim Killings | KNO

The students of Higher Secondary School Shopian and Govt degree college(Boys) Anantnag today protested against the killings of Rohingya Muslims in Burma (Myanmar).

Sources said that the students of Higher Secondary School Shopian in south Kashmir took out a protest march up to the government Degree College and soon after they returned they were intercepted by police near Gagren.


The protesting students raising slogans pelted stones on a police vehicle and the cops fired many tear smoke shells to disperse them.


How situation soon became normal in the town, sources added.


Meanwhile students of Govt degree college (boys) assembled in the college campus and staged a peaceful protest aganist the killings of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.


The students were holding banners and placards on which "Stop killing Rohingya Muslims", "stop killings, save Burma" etc were written.


Students also shouted slogans against United Nations organisation for not taking any positive step to stop Muslim genocide in Myanmar.
